This is my first painting on hardboard. I did a simple landscape to test out the surface. It was quite different than canvas in that it seemed to soak up the paint rather than move around on the surface.  12”x12” acrylic

Finally, after much painstaking effort, the face, lips, eyes, and hair are complete! The completed canvas painting is 12”x12” (done in acrylics). I textured the canvas before painting, and I’m not very fond of the lumps and bumps. But I was trying out some new blending techniques, and I’m really happy with the result!
