Finally, after much painstaking effort, the face, lips, eyes, and hair are complete! The completed canvas painting is 12”x12” (done in acrylics). I textured the canvas before painting, and I’m not very fond of the lumps and bumps. But I was trying out some new blending techniques, and I’m really happy with the result!

I’m giving my strained eyes a break from the pencil drawing by painting a new portrait.  

I haven’t done a pencil portrait in awhile so I thought I would try my hand at one so I don’t get rusty.  Here is my current work in progress.
